The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has announced upcoming lane closures as part of the Transform 285/400 Project. These closures are scheduled to occur from June 16, 2025, through June 23, 2025, affecting traffic on I-285 and SR 400.
Weather permitting, contractors will implement daytime lane closures for punch list activities. This may lead to travel delays, reduced speeds, and detours in some areas. The GDOT advises checking the project web page frequently for updates.
Continuous weekend closures are planned from Friday, June 20 at 9 p.m. until Monday, June 23 at 5 a.m. Specifically, motorists traveling south on Glenridge Drive to I-285 westbound should use Hammond Drive and Roswell Road as an alternative route.
Overnight closures are also scheduled throughout the week:
– On Monday, June 16 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., I-285 westbound to Roswell Road will be closed.
– On Tuesday, June 17 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., one left lane on I-285 eastbound CD Lanes will be closed.
– Wednesday and Thursday nights will see similar overnight closures impacting lanes on both I-285 eastbound and SR 400 southbound.
Motorists should note that exact construction dates may change due to weather or other factors. Drivers are urged to reduce speed in work zones and remain vigilant for workers. For real-time information on work status and traffic conditions, GDOT recommends calling their hotline or visiting their website.
