A right-lane closure is in effect on I-20 eastbound between mile markers 101.5 and 103 as part of the CR 249/Old Mill Road Interchange Project, according to an advisory from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). The department has notified motorists to expect delays, use caution, and reduce speed when traveling through the work zone.

GDOT encourages drivers to check real-time updates about work status and traffic conditions before traveling by calling 511, visiting https://511ga.org/, or using the Georgia 511 app. Further details about the US 278 and Old Mill Road improvement projects can be found at https://arcg.is/0r8ivq.

The advisory was released by GDOT’s Office of Communications.

“Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app.”

Additional project information is available online.
