Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) crews will conduct concrete maintenance on the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 at mile markers 219 to 220 in Henry County. The work is scheduled for December 17, 2025, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., and will require lane closures during those hours.

Motorists are advised that dates may change due to weather or other factors. Drivers should expect delays, use caution, and reduce speed when traveling through the affected work zones. GDOT recommends checking real-time updates on work status and traffic conditions by calling 511, visiting the Georgia 511 website at https://511ga.org/, or using the Georgia 511 app.

“The Department’s vision is to boost Georgia’s competitiveness through leadership in transportation,” according to GDOT.

GDOT is responsible for planning, constructing, and maintaining state and federal highways across Georgia. The department also manages bridge projects, waterways, public transit systems, rail infrastructure, general aviation facilities, as well as bike and pedestrian programs. In addition, GDOT supports local governments in road maintenance and employs nearly 4,000 people statewide.
