The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has announced temporary lane closures for the State Route 400 Express Lanes Project. These closures are set to begin on Sunday, May 11, and will continue through Friday, May 16. The work is scheduled to take place nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., weather permitting.
On the southbound side of SR 400, lanes will be closed from Old Milton Parkway (mile marker 19) to Holcomb Bridge Road (mile marker 15), as well as from Holcomb Bridge Road Parkway to Abernathy Road (mile marker 8). The closures involve single inside left-lane and shoulder closures.
For northbound traffic, the affected areas include lanes from Abernathy Road to Holcomb Bridge Road and from Holcomb Bridge Road to Old Milton Parkway. The closure here involves either a single inside left-lane or an outside right-lane and corresponding shoulder closure.
The GDOT advises motorists to plan accordingly for these disruptions and thanks them for their patience as roadwork activities progress.
