The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced lane closures for the Transform 285/400 Project. Weather permitting, these closures will occur on I-285 eastbound and westbound, as well as SR 400 northbound and southbound. The work includes roadway, noise barrier, and bridge construction. Travelers should expect possible delays, reduced speeds, and detours.
From June 23 to June 30, continuous weekend closures are scheduled from Friday at 9 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m. General lane closures will affect Roswell Road in both directions between Allen Road and Northwood Drive.
Specific detours include:
– Roswell Road to I-285 westbound: Motorists should use I-285 eastbound and Exit 26 Glenridge Drive.
– I-285 eastbound to Roswell Road: Use Exit 26 Glenridge Drive and Hammond Drive.
Overnight closures are planned for Wednesday, June 25 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., affecting lanes on I-285 westbound CD Lanes from Peachtree Dunwoody Road and SR 400 southbound CD Lanes from Hammond Drive to I-285.
Thursday night into Friday morning will see no general lane closures or traffic pacings but there are detours for SR 400 northbound to I-285 eastbound via Exit 4B.
