The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has announced alternating lane closures on Interstate 20 as part of the ongoing CR 249/Old Mill Road interchange project. The affected section stretches between mile markers 102 and 104.5 in both eastbound and westbound directions.
Daytime closures are scheduled for Saturday, July 12, through Sunday, July 13, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with additional closures planned from Monday, July 7, through Friday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. near the rest area.
Motorists are advised to anticipate delays and exercise caution while traveling through these work zones. GDOT recommends reducing speed and staying informed about real-time traffic conditions by calling 511 or visiting their website at 511ga.org.
