Bartow County is set to experience lane closures on I-75 as crews prepare to replace the bridges over Cedar Creek Road. The construction will commence on Saturday, July 26, and is expected to cause delays for motorists traveling through the area.
The lane closures will occur from July 26 through August 31, with specific hours from Sunday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., and Friday through Saturday from 9 p.m. until 10 a.m. These closures will affect various lanes in both directions north of milepost 299.
Motorists are advised to anticipate delays, exercise caution, and reduce speed while navigating the work zones. For real-time updates on work status and traffic conditions, individuals can call 511, visit the website at 511ga.org, or use the Georgia 511 app.
“Our maintenance team members who repair roads and bridges and our project teams who oversee construction projects are continuing their essential work,” states the advisory, highlighting that they are following health agency guidelines to ensure safety amid ongoing coronavirus concerns.
