Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors will continue resurfacing work on State Route 154/Memorial Drive in DeKalb County. The project extends from the Fulton County Line/Moreland Avenue to SR 10 and aims to improve the road’s condition for a smoother driving experience.
Weather permitting, lane closures are scheduled for Sunday, June 15, from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday morning. Crews will implement alternating left and right single lane closures as they lower manholes and water valves and begin paving the road. Some noise is expected during these activities.
The resurfacing project has a budget of $5 million and is expected to be completed by late summer 2025.
Motorists should anticipate delays, exercise caution, and reduce speed while traveling through the work zone during these hours. For real-time updates on work status and traffic conditions, drivers can call 511, visit 511ga.org, or use the Georgia 511 app.
