Contractors working with the Georgia Department of Transportation are set to continue resurfacing SR 154/Memorial Drive from the Fulton County Line/Moreland Avenue to SR 10 in DeKalb County. The ongoing work aims to improve the deteriorating road condition to ensure a smoother experience for drivers.
Weather and site conditions permitting, Sunday, May 4, will see alternating single lane closures between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Monday morning. Crews will work on lowering manholes and water valves and paving the road. There may be some noise associated with these activities.
“Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through the work zone during the project work hours. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app,” advises GDOT.
The $5 million resurfacing project is slated for completion in late summer 2025.
