The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced upcoming lane closures on Interstate 20 in Morgan County as part of the I-20 at CR 249/Old Mill Road Interchange Project. The right lane on I-20 eastbound between mile markers 101.5 and 103 will be closed.

Overnight closures are scheduled from Friday, August 22, through Tuesday, August 26, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., affecting both eastbound and westbound lanes in the same area.

Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones. “Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app,” the department stated.

More details about the project can be found at US 278 and Old Mill Road Improvement Projects (arcgis.com).
