Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors will continue resurfacing activities on State Route 154/Memorial Drive in DeKalb County. The project spans from the Fulton County Line/Moreland Avenue to SR 10. The aim is to improve the deteriorating roadway and provide a smoother ride for drivers.
Weather permitting, crews will install alternating left and right “rolling” single lane closures on Memorial Drive from Sunday, May 11 at 9 p.m. until Monday morning at 5 a.m. During this time, they will lower manholes and water valves and begin paving the road. Some noise may occur during these activities.
The $5 million resurfacing project is expected to be completed by late summer 2025.
Motorists should expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce speed while traveling through the work zone during project hours. For real-time information on work status and traffic conditions, motorists can call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app.
