Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors are continuing work on a resurfacing project on State Route 154/Memorial Drive from the Fulton County Line/Moreland Avenue to SR 10 in DeKalb County. The resurfacing aims to improve road conditions and provide smoother travel for drivers.
On Sunday, June 22, weather permitting, crews will implement alternating left and right “rolling” single lane closures on Memorial Drive from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday morning as they apply permanent striping. This $5 million project is expected to be completed by late summer 2025.
Motorists should anticipate delays and are advised to exercise caution and reduce speed when traveling through the work zone during these hours. For real-time updates on work status and traffic conditions, motorists can call 511, visit 511ga.org, or use the Georgia 511 app.
