The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced that, weather permitting, lane closures will be in effect on State Road 14/East Point Street from West Forrest Avenue to East Cleveland Avenue in East Point. The closures are scheduled for Wednesday, May 28, as part of safety measures for the “Wind Down Wednesday” event. This event is sponsored by the City of East Point Main Street Association.
Drivers should expect traffic delays during this period. Signage and police presence will be available to guide both drivers and pedestrians through the area.
The closures will begin at 8:30 a.m. on May 28 and continue until midnight. Motorists are advised to reduce their speed while traveling through the affected areas.
