The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has announced temporary lane closures on State Route 400 as part of the ongoing express lanes project. The construction involves new express lanes spanning approximately 16 miles from the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) North Springs Station in Fulton County to north of McFarland Parkway in Forsyth County.
Weather permitting, GDOT contractors will close traffic lanes to perform necessary roadwork. These rolling closures will affect both southbound and northbound lanes between Abernathy Road and SR 141 from June 29 to July 1, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night.
Motorists are advised to anticipate delays, exercise caution, and reduce speed while navigating through these work zones. For updates on the work schedule, travelers can visit the SR 400 Express Lanes website or access real-time information by calling “511,” visiting 511ga.org, or using the “Georgia 511” app.
“The information you provide to the Georgia Department of Transportation will be used solely by Georgia DOT,” stated GDOT officials, assuring that personal data will not be sold or offered for marketing purposes.
