The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has announced a series of lane closures on State Route 400 as part of the ongoing Express Lanes Project. The closures will affect both northbound and southbound lanes between Sunday, December 7, and Friday, December 12.
On SR 400 southbound, single and double lane closures will take place nightly from SR 141 (mile marker 27) to Abernathy Road (mile marker 8), between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. The affected segments include stretches from SR 141 to Old Milton Parkway, Old Milton Parkway to Holcomb Bridge Road, and Holcomb Bridge Road to Abernathy Road.
Northbound traffic will see similar overnight single and double lane closures in the same timeframe along corresponding segments from Abernathy Road to SR 141. In addition, outside shoulder closures are scheduled for daytime hours—from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.—on sections between McGinnis Ferry Road and Shiloh Road, as well as Northridge Road to Roberts Drive.
Other impacted locations include Mansell Road SB Exit with right lane closure during nighttime hours; Roberts Drive with daytime lane closures; and Holcomb Bridge Road eastbound and westbound with overnight right lane closures.
The Georgia Department of Transportation states that these measures are necessary for construction activities related to the Express Lanes Project.
