The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has announced a series of lane closures on State Route 400 as part of the ongoing Express Lanes Project. The closures will affect both northbound and southbound traffic between March 2 and March 7, 2026.
On the southbound side, there will be nightly rolling closures affecting a single left lane and shoulder from SR 141 (mile marker 25) to Abernathy Road (mile marker 8), taking place from March 2 through March 6 between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. In addition, daily rolling closures are scheduled at the Holcomb Bridge Road entrance ramp from March 2 to March 4, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and at the exit ramp from Holcomb Bridge Road from March 4 to March 6 during the same hours. A daily single lane closure at the Holcomb Bridge Road exit ramp is also planned for March 6 to March 7, running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For northbound traffic, nightly rolling closures will take place on a single left lane and shoulder from Abernathy Road (mile marker 8) to SR 141 (mile marker 25), occurring from March 2 through March 6 between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. The Northridge Road exit ramp will see daily right-lane rolling closures during those dates between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., while similar restrictions are scheduled for the Northridge Road entrance ramp’s left lane and shoulder over the same period. At Mansell Road, nightly bus lane and shoulder closures are set for midnight to 5 a.m. on March 2 and March 3.
Cross streets near SR 400 will also be affected by nighttime work: Webb Bridge Road westbound at SR 400 will have single-lane closures; Webb Bridge Road at Westside Parkway will have nightly shoulder closures; and Holcomb Bridge Road westbound between Old Dogwood Road and Dogwood Road will have its right turning lane closed each night.
Motorists are encouraged to check the SR 400 Express Lanes website for updates about construction activity in their area before traveling. For real-time information on work status or traffic conditions, drivers can call “511,” visit 511ga.org, or use the “Georgia 511” app.
