The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced upcoming lane closures on State Route 400 as part of the ongoing Express Lanes Project. The scheduled closures will take place between Sunday, August 24 and Friday, August 29, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.
Southbound SR 400 will see single and double lane closures along segments stretching from SR 141 (mile marker 27) to Abernathy Road (mile marker 8). Northbound lanes will have similar restrictions in the same corridor. Both inside left-lane and outside right-lane closures are planned during these overnight hours.
Additional rolling closures are scheduled for various ramps and interchanges, including Abernathy Road, Holcomb Bridge Road, Mansell Road, Haynes Bridge Road, Old Milton Parkway, Windward Parkway, McFarland Parkway, Northridge Road, and Webb Bridge Road. These operations involve closing one lane at a time or flagging traffic in both directions.
The department stated that these measures are necessary to support construction activities related to the Express Lanes Project.
