The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Overview Committee (MARTOC) will convene on January 8, 2026, to discuss the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority’s (MARTA) preparations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup. The meeting is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. in room 406 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta.

State Representative Deborah Silcox (R-Sandy Springs), who chairs MARTOC, will lead the session. The committee will focus on how MARTA is getting ready for the international event, which will be held in Atlanta.
