Meriwether County introduces Citizen Request Tracker for community feedback

Meriwether County announced on Mar. 7 the launch of the Citizen Request Tracker, a tool designed to allow residents to report general concerns, comments, or compliments. The platform also offers account holders the ability to log in and monitor the progress of their submitted reports.

The county said this initiative aims to improve communication between local government and residents by providing a streamlined way for citizens to raise issues or provide feedback.

According to Meriwether County officials, “Citizen Request Tracker allows you to notify us about a general concern, comment, or compliment. If you have an account, you can also log in to view the progress of your existing report. Learn more about Citizen Request Tracker today!”

Enrollment at Meriwether County schools dropped by 1.3% in the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year, according to the Georgia Department of Education. In terms of student demographics during that period, Black students were the most represented ethnic group within Meriwether County schools at 56%, followed by White students at 33%, Multiracial students at 6%, Hispanic students at 4%, and Asian students at 1%, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

As community engagement tools like Citizen Request Tracker become available, local officials anticipate increased resident participation in addressing public concerns and enhancing services.
