A construction project to install a new median and improve striping on State Routes 11 and 22 in Bibb County is set to begin at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). The work will also include upgrades to the existing traffic signal and pedestrian facilities.
The median project is expected to continue until late spring or early summer. Motorists traveling through the area should anticipate delays while the work is underway.
“Advisory: Dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones.
