The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will close one right northbound lane of Interstate 75 near milepost 353 in Catoosa County for bridge repairs on Monday, September 8. The closure is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and drive carefully through the work zone. GDOT recommends that drivers exercise caution and reduce their speed while traveling through the area.

“Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app. Our maintenance team members who repair roads and bridges and our project teams who oversee construction projects are continuing their essential work, while following sanitary work practices prescribed by health agencies to protect themselves and the public from the coronavirus, as are most state DOTs in the U.S.”

Real-time updates about traffic conditions can be accessed by calling 511, visiting https://511ga.org/, or using the Georgia 511 app.

The department says crews will follow recommended sanitary practices during this operation.
