The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has announced overnight lane closures on I-285 as part of the ongoing Transform 285/400 project. The closures, which are subject to weather conditions, will take place from January 13 through January 15, 2026.

Contractors working for GDOT will close either a left or right lane on the Peachtree Dunwoody Road on-ramp to I-285 eastbound during the overnight hours. Specifically, the affected times are Tuesday, January 13 and Wednesday, January 14 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.

Travelers in these areas should expect possible delays, reduced speeds, and detours in some locations. The department notes that “exact construction dates may change due to weather or other factors.” Motorists are advised to exercise caution by reducing speed while traveling through work zones and paying attention to workers present.

GDOT recommends checking their project web page frequently for schedule updates and additional information about the I-285 & SR 400 Improvements. Real-time information regarding work status and traffic conditions is available by calling 511, visiting http://www.511ga.org/, or using the Georgia 511 app.

For further questions or concerns related to this advisory, individuals can contact transform285400@dot.ga.gov.
