State Representatives Lydia Glaize and Dewey McClain will hold a press conference and a community prostate cancer screening event at the Georgia State Capitol on February 19, 2026. The press conference is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. at the South Wing Steps of the Capitol. The prostate cancer screening, provided by Grady Health, will take place in room 216 from 1 to 3 p.m.

The event aims to raise awareness about prostate cancer and promote House Bill 373. This bill would require major medical insurance plans to cover annual prostate cancer screenings for men considered at high risk for the disease.

Speakers at the press conference will include Representatives Glaize and McClain, as well as Derrick Holloway, a prostate cancer survivor and advocacy leader; Angell Bray-Darden, community outreach and engagement manager with ZERO Prostate Cancer; and CJ Stewart, co-founder of L.E.A.D. Center for Youth.
