Railroad crossing work set for Hwy 127 and Hwy 247 in Houston County

Railroad crews will be working at the railroad crossing at Highway 127 and Highway 247 in Houston County starting January 21, 2026. The work is scheduled to take place daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Officials have noted that the dates for this project may change depending on weather or other unforeseen factors. Motorists traveling through the area are advised to expect delays, use caution, and reduce their speed while passing through work zones.
