State Representative Floyd Griffin will host a road dedication event on June 24, 2025, at Baldwin County High School in Milledgeville. The ceremony will honor the Latasha R. Butts Memorial Highway.

The highway dedication will cover State Route 49 from the Milledgeville Bypass SR 29/US 441 to the Macon Bibb County line in Baldwin County. This naming follows the introduction of House Resolution 71 by Rep. Griffin during the 2025 legislative session. HR 71 was incorporated into Senate Resolution 8 and subsequently adopted into law.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24, at 10 a.m., with provisions for inclement weather moving it to the high school’s covered entrance.
