State Representative Jasmine Clark (D-Lilburn) is scheduled to hold a press conference with community violence intervention (CVI) groups on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 1 p.m. The event will take place at the South Wing Steps of the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta.

The purpose of the press conference is to address recent funding cuts affecting CVI groups and to urge the legislature to allocate funds in the state budget for their work. CVI consists of organizations, practitioners, and partners focused on preventing gun violence and supporting individuals and communities affected by harm.

Rep. Clark will also call on the Georgia General Assembly to pass House Bill 291, known as the Community Health Worker Certification Act. Additional information about HB 291 can be found through official legislative resources.

Jasmine Clark represents Lilburn in the Georgia House of Representatives. The Georgia State Capitol is located at 206 Washington St SW, Atlanta.

Burns, a Republican, has served in the Georgia State House since 2005 representing District 159 after succeeding Ray Holland.
