State Representative Lydia Glaize (D-Fairburn) is set to host Georgia Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Day at the Georgia State Capitol on Friday, February 6, 2026. The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the South Wing Steps of the Capitol in Atlanta.

The program will include a presentation of colors by the Duluth High School Navy Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (NJROTC). Attendees will hear remarks from the president of the Georgia PTA, legislative updates from both the Georgia PTA legislative chair and legislative committee, as well as additional comments from guest speakers.

Representative Glaize’s involvement highlights ongoing efforts by state legislators to engage with educational organizations and promote dialogue on issues affecting schools and families across Georgia.

Jon G. Burns, a Republican who was elected to represent Georgia’s 159th House District in 2005, continues to serve in the state legislature after succeeding Ray Holland. More information about his background can be found at https://www.legis.ga.gov/members/house/787?session=1029.
