CJ Pearson, co-chair of the Republican National Committee’s Youth Advisory Council, said that the United States has experienced historic drops in murders and other crimes due to policies emphasizing public safety.

“the united states is on pace for the largest one-year drop in murders our country has ever recorded,” said Coreco Jaquan Pearson. “in the entire history of our country, crime has never been more on the decline. this is what happens when you have leaders that prioritize law and order.”

According to Pearson, he posted on X a chart from Axios showing percentage decreases in various crime categories from 2024 to 2025. He highlighted the record pace of murder reductions nationwide. The post attributes these trends to governance focused on security.

Georgia data indicated a decrease of around 10 percent in violent and property crimes aligning with countrywide improvements. State reports confirmed reductions in key categories through mid-2025. These figures support ongoing efforts to enhance community safety.

The United States recorded a nearly 20 percent decline in murders from 2024 to 2025 based on preliminary data. Overall violent crime decreased by about 10 percent during the period. Property crimes also fell significantly, contributing to safer environments nationwide.

Pearson was born on July 31, 2002, in Augusta, Georgia, and attended Evans High School before studying at the University of Alabama. He founded Young Georgians in Government and gained prominence through conservative activism starting in 2015. As a Republican, he held roles in multiple presidential campaigns and became co-chair of the RNC’s Youth Advisory Council in 2022.
