Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced on April 6 that his office will host a FIN FIT webinar titled “Funding Your Mission: Grants, Donors & Beyond” on Tuesday, April 21 at 6 p.m.

The event aims to support Georgia’s nonprofit leaders by providing them with financial strategies and tools to help secure funding and ensure long-term sustainability. The webinar is intended for new and emerging nonprofits looking to build a strong financial foundation.

“Starting and running a nonprofit takes passion, but it also requires clear financial strategy,” said Secretary Raffensperger. “Through this webinar, we will equip Georgia’s nonprofit leaders with the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need to obtain funding, broaden their impact, and achieve lasting success in their communities.”

The session will be moderated by award-winning journalist Donna Lowry. Speakers include Karen Beaver, President and CEO of the Georgia Center for Nonprofits; Dr. Allison Padilla-Goodman, CEO of Giving Kitchen; Sean Pitts, Vice President of Commercial Banking at Georgia’s Own Credit Union; and Rachel Epps Spears, Executive Director of Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta. The free event will be accessible both by phone and online to provide flexibility for participants.

FIN FIT is described as a financial empowerment program hosted by the Secretary of State as part of broader efforts in financial literacy. It features industry leaders discussing resources that can help attendees increase their knowledge about money management and strategies for building wealth.

The office encourages all Georgians interested in strengthening their nonprofits or improving personal finance skills to attend these workshops.
