Senator Jason T. Dickerson of Canton has announced his appointments to several Georgia Senate committees for the upcoming legislative session. As a freshman legislator, Dickerson will serve on the Banking & Financial Institutions Committee as Secretary, and as an ex officio member on both the Government Oversight and Transportation Committees. He will also be a member of the Natural Resources and the Environment, Public Safety, and Veterans, Military and Homeland Security Committees.
“These committee assignments give me a meaningful opportunity to advocate for the everyday concerns of the people of the 21st Senate District, and I am grateful to the Lieutenant Governor for placing me on committees that I care deeply about,” said Sen. Dickerson. “From strengthening public safety and improving transportation to supporting our veterans and protecting Georgia’s natural resources, I am ready to hit the ground running and deliver practical solutions for hardworking Georgians.”
Dickerson is a lifelong resident of Cherokee County. He co-founded Quest Trucking, which employed more than 500 people, and currently leads Purple Chip Capital Management, a private investment firm focused on undervalued U.S. companies. He also operates The Jason T. Dickerson Family Foundation, working with his family to support seniors, students, veterans, and abused animals in Cherokee County.
Senator Dickerson represents Georgia’s 21st Senate District covering parts of Cherokee and Fulton counties.
