Senate study committee on higher education affordability schedules final meeting

The Senate Study Committee on Higher Education Affordability will hold its final meeting on December 2, 2025. The session is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the Georgia State Capitol in Room 450, located at 206 Washington St SW, Atlanta.

Senator Nan Orrock (D–Atlanta), who chairs the committee, will lead the meeting. The purpose of this final session is to adopt the committee report. The committee was created under SR 474 to consider ways to make higher education more affordable for residents of Georgia. Among the options being discussed is the creation of a means-tested scholarship program.

The event is open to the public and will be live-streamed on the Georgia General Assembly website.
