The Senate Study Committee on Improving Family Caregiver Services will hold its final meeting on December 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. The session will take place in Room 307 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta and is open to the public. The event will also be live-streamed on the Georgia General Assembly website.
The committee, chaired by Minority Leader Sen. Harold Jones II (D–Augusta), was established under SR 393 to address the needs of Georgia’s growing senior population. Its focus has been on exploring policy goals and legislative actions to support more than one million family caregivers in the state who provide over one billion hours of care each year.
“The Senate Study Committee on Improving Family Caregiver Services will address Georgia’s rapidly growing senior population by exploring policy goals and legislative actions to better support the state’s over 1 million family caregivers, who collectively provide more than 1 billion hours of care each year,” according to the press release.
