On July 13, 2025, Sen. Derek Mallow (D–Savannah) will attend the closing ceremony of the Fifth Annual Pups Day Out Youth Football Camp. The event is organized by Super Bowl champion Nolan Smith Jr. and will provide participants with football guidance, back-to-school backpacks, and supplies. During the ceremony, Sen. Mallow will present Nolan Smith Jr. with an Outstanding Georgia Citizen Award.

The event will take place at Floyd E. Morris Field in Savannah, GA from 12:00 to 4:30 p.m. Participant registration is required and can be arranged by contacting Darrin Hood at dhood@btmanagement.com. The public is welcome to view the event.
