Georgia House Speaker Jon Burns will hold a press conference to discuss the Georgia Early Literacy Act of 2026. The event is scheduled for Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 1 p.m. and will take place at the South Wing Steps of the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta.

Burns, a Republican, has represented Georgia’s 159th House District since his election in 2005, succeeding Ray Holland.
