US 25 Bypass/Veterans Memorial Parkway in Statesboro, Georgia, will be closed at the railroad crossing just west of US 301 starting Thursday, March 5 at 7:00 a.m. The closure is necessary for railroad grade crossing improvements by Georgia Southern Railway, as communicated to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). The work is expected to finish by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6.

During this period, traffic will be detoured three miles northbound on SR 73/US 301/US 25/S. Main St. to SR 26/US 80/SR 67/Northside Drive before turning left and continuing west for another 2.1 miles on SR 26/US 80/SR 67 to SR 25BY/SR67BY/US301BY where the detour ends.

Officials noted that the schedule may change depending on weather conditions.
