There were 23 deaths with diabetes mellitus listed as the underlying cause reported in Georgia during the week ending Feb. 5, a 39.5 percent decrease from the previous week.
There were 45 deaths with Alzheimer's disease listed as the underlying cause reported in Georgia during the week ending Feb. 5, a 21.1 percent decrease from the previous week.
There were 21 deaths with nephritis, nephrotic syndrome and nephrosis listed as the underlying cause reported in Georgia during the week ending Feb. 5, a 19.2 percent decrease from the previous week.
There were 18 deaths with influenza and pneumonia listed as the underlying cause reported in Georgia during the week ending Feb. 5, a 14.3 percent decrease from the previous week.
There were 377 deaths with COVID-19 listed as the underlying cause reported in Georgia during the week ending Jan. 29, a 15.1 percent decrease from the previous week.
Georgia's death count did not exceed the upper threshold of death expectancy during the week ending Feb. 5, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
There were 43 deaths from cerebrovascular diseases reported in Georgia in the week ending Feb. 5, making up 4.7 percent of total deaths by all causes in Georgia.
