Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has launched an investigation into whether or not attorney Lin Wood was eligible to vote in Georgia during the 2020 General Election.

Raffensperger is questioning whether or not Wood was a Georgia resident. The investigation began after Wood sent an email noting that he had purchased a home in South Carolina and had been living there for several months.

The email was sent by Wood to Justin Gray, an investigative reporter with WSB-TV.

After the investigation was announced, Wood sent a statement to Gray saying he only changed his residency on Feb. 1.

“I have been a resident of the State of Georgia since 1955,” Wood said in the statement to Gray. “I changed my residency to South Carolina yesterday. This is pure harassment by the Georgia Secretary of State because I have revealed credible evidence of election fraud on the part of Brad Raffensperger.”

Wood said, The Epoch Times reported, that he was thrilled to move.

“I have lived in Georgia since I was 3 years old (65 years),” Wood said, The Epoch Times reported. “I still love the Peach State but Georgia has deteriorated over the years to become one of the most corrupt states in the country, if not the most corrupt.”

Wood said that South Carolina has welcomed him, while Georgia has shunned him.

Wood also told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Raffensperger wanted to “destroy” him because he has been revealing corruption.

“Brad Raffensperger’s got a lot of problems with people who were not legitimate citizens of Georgia. I’m not one of them,” Wood said the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Hill reported.

The Epoch Times reported that the Georgia State Bar asked Wood to undergo a mental health evaluation in order to keep his law license, but he refused to do so, citing that he had done nothing wrong.

Wood had alleged fraud during the 2020 General Election and filed several lawsuits regarding election fraud. Raffensperger has been adamant that there was no widespread voter fraud in the election.
