Conservative leaders are pushing back against a tweet by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), claiming her response to a video of Christians singing praise songs during a commercial flight on the eve of Easter Sunday was “anti-Christian.”

The video, posted on TikTok by user Jack Jensz Jr, went viral over Easter weekend, showing a packed flight singing a Christian worship song.

In her tweet, Omar shared the viral video, asking what would happen if she and her family held a prayer session on their next flight as practicing Muslims.

"I think my family and I should have a prayer session next time I am on a plane. How do you think it will end?" Omar wrote in her tweet last week.

Since then, Fox News reports her tweet has been met with stark criticism from Conservative Christians claiming her post contained “anti-Christian” sentiment.

“Ilhan Omar has forgotten we are a Christian Country, founded in Christian principles, by Christian men and women. I’m confident that if she allowed Christ in her heart, she would find peace in knowing her salvation is secured. She would rejoice at the sound of Christian singing,” Mark McMain, a Republican candidate for Georgia's 10th Congressional District election said.

Among other critics, Republican candidate for Georgia's 10th Congressional District, Vernon Jones, took to Twitter asking the Representative why she "[hates] Christians?” and telling her to “head back to…wherever (she’s) from.”
