Clarkston Police are investigating child abuse allegations against First Baptist Daycare after the mother of one of the children charged she observed abuse on the daycare's surveillance.

According to a recent report by FOX 5 Atlanta, the victim's grandmother told police when she picked up the child on July 6, she immediately noticed that he was "visibly upset" and "did not seem like himself." Later at home, the child’s mother said she observed bruises on his arm that were not there when she dropped him off at the facility earlier that morning.

Family members told authorities they later spoke with the first lady of the church, and she told them she did not see anything that was “unacceptable” on the surveillance video, FOX 5 reports. In the police report, family members add when they looked at the footage, they saw two teachers push the victim down on the classroom mat, pull him off the ground by his hair and slap and punch him multiple times.

According to the report, a responding officer who has watched the surveillance video has corroborated the family’s version of the story, marking the second time a DeKalb County daycare has come under investigation in just a week over child abuse allegations. DeKalb County police say they are investigating child abuse allegations at the Appletree Learning Center & Academy.

The names of the teachers have not been released and no one has been arrested at this time, FOX reports.
