Christopher Robertson, a 42-year-old resident of Fairburn, Georgia, appeared in federal court in Atlanta on charges of communicating interstate threats. The charges stem from several videos posted to Facebook in which Robertson threatened to kill Jews and Black people. He was arrested on August 1, 2025, following a standoff with the FBI.

United States Magistrate Judge Catherine M. Salinas ordered that Robertson remain in custody until his next hearing scheduled for August 7, 2025.

United States Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg commented on the case: “The allegations against Robertson, which include menacing visits to Jewish facilities and vile online threats against Jews and Blacks, are of great concern. Protecting the community from hate-fueled violence is a foundational part of the Department of Justice’s mission, and we will aggressively prosecute criminals who abuse the internet to terrorize and intimidate others.”

Special Agent in Charge of FBI Atlanta Paul Brown added: “Mr. Robertson’s alleged actions serve as a disturbing reminder of the terrifying hatred our Jewish communities encounter simply because of their beliefs. The FBI will continue to work diligently with our law enforcement and community partners to investigate any individual who threatens the safety of our residents.”

According to information presented in court by U.S. Attorney Hertzberg, staff at the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta (JFGA) noticed Robertson inside their secure parking lot on July 30, 2025. Security staff confronted him after he entered without permission; during this encounter, Robertson claimed he was “the official spokesperson for the white race” and asked to speak with a high-ranking Jewish official.

After being told to leave JFGA premises, Robertson went to The Temple synagogue where he made derogatory remarks about Jewish people and spoke about what he described as the decline of the white race before leaving when approached by an Atlanta Police officer.

Subsequent investigation led SCN and FBI agents to social media accounts belonging to Robertson containing antisemitic statements and threats. In one YouTube video post, he sang lyrics targeting Jews with violent language. A Facebook post from July 28 showed him holding a loaded pistol while discussing what he called “cultural genocide” against white people; his caption included explicit threats.

In response to these incidents, law enforcement increased patrols at around 80 Jewish facilities across metro Atlanta.

On July 31, after posting online about wanting “to chop it up with a rabbi,” Robertson entered a Chabad building in Peachtree City where staff barricaded themselves while police were called. He recorded this incident as well and posted it online identifying himself as an “official delegate of the white race” while making further threatening statements toward Jews.

Robertson continued posting videos containing violent threats against Black people on August 1 before his arrest warrant was issued later that day for communicating interstate threats. When authorities attempted arrest at his home that evening, he barricaded himself inside for several hours before surrendering; agents recovered a firearm at the scene.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation into this case. Assistant United States Attorneys Brent Alan Gray and Bret R. Hobson are prosecuting.
