Atkinson County is set to experience a temporary road closure for pavement repair on State Route 135. The section affected stretches from the Berrien/Atkinson County line at the Alapaha River bridge to mile marker 1.20, located just south of Springhead Church Road. The detour routes will include SR 76, SR 11, and SR 520.

The closure is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 4, with an expected reopening by Sunday, August 10.

“The information you provide to the Georgia Department of Transportation will be used solely by GDOT,” stated the department’s notice. “The Department does not sell or offer a subscriber’s personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.”
