Fulton County Schools announced on May 14 that Tim Brackett has been appointed as the new director of district applications.

Brackett’s appointment is significant for the district, given his extensive experience in information technology and education. His background includes more than 25 years in IT, with over 15 years focused on delivering data, business intelligence, and web-based solutions specifically within educational environments.

Throughout his career, Brackett has led cross-functional teams and developed enterprise reporting platforms. He has also implemented data systems aimed at improving access to information and supporting decision-making processes. In his seven years with Fulton County Schools, he played a key role in advancing data initiatives across the district. These efforts include developing a public-facing Balanced Scorecard and integrating multiple data sources into unified reporting solutions.

Brackett said he is passionate about using technology to support education and remains committed to delivering systems that are dependable and user-friendly for both staff and students. In his new position, he will focus on strengthening the district’s technology foundation while planning for future growth.

The appointment highlights an ongoing effort by Fulton County Schools to enhance its technological capabilities in support of organizational goals.
