The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has announced an upgrade project involving traffic shifts and pacing on I-75. The project spans from SR215 in Dooly County to CS636/Bill Gardner Parkway in Henry County. Contractors will manage traffic flow and install overhead sign structures safely.
According to GDOT, “there are warning signs to notify motorists in advance of this operation.” Drivers are advised to be alert and reduce speeds while traveling through the area.
The project is set to begin on Thursday, July 24, 2025, with work occurring overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., continuing until the summer of 2027. It affects both northbound and southbound lanes of I-75 between SR215/Dooly County and CS636/Bill Gardner Parkway/Henry County.
An advisory notes that dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists should expect delays and exercise caution when traveling through work zones. For real-time updates on work status and traffic conditions, individuals can call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app.
