The University of Georgia Extension will present a program on May 29 exploring how insects survive the winter months. The event, titled ‘Where do all the bugs go in winter?’, will discuss the hidden strategies that bugs use to endure cold weather.

Lisa Klein with UGA Extension Gwinnett is scheduled to lead the session. According to the announcement, Klein will explain where insects hide, how they adapt, and why these seasonal behaviors are important for Georgia’s ecosystems and home landscapes. The program is designed for gardeners, nature enthusiasts, and anyone interested in learning more about local wildlife.

The session also qualifies for Master Gardener continuing education credit. Attendees can expect scientific information presented in an accessible format.

The University of Georgia has stated its commitment to accessibility for all participants. Those needing reasonable accommodation or language access services are encouraged to contact organizers at least three weeks before the event date.

More details about this event can be found through University of Georgia Extension resources.
