U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) fired up a crowd at a campaign rally for Georgia’s Senate race.
“It's time to end voter fraud....no, it is time to expose voter fraud. It is time to take anyone involved in voter fraud and prosecute them and put them in jail,” Cruz said.
Cruz said the stakes are dire.
“Our democracy matters. Our constitution matters. Our Bill of Rights matters. America matters and the state of Georgia will rise to defend the United States of America!” Cruz said.
U.S. Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, both incumbents, are locked in runoff battles against Democratic challengers Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff.
The outcome of the race will decide control of the U.S. Senate. Democrats already control the House and will control the White House after Inauguration Day.
Loeffler and Perdue have together pointed out election issues from the Nov. 3 election which they unsuccessfully lobbied to be fixed prior to the runoff.
Last week Trump advisor Stephen Miller pointed to signature matching issues in Georgia as a source of potential fraud.
