A signature audit process may be in the works in Georgia.
U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham said he is eager to see what the fruits of the effort may be.
“I have just been briefed about the signature verification system in Georgia regarding 2020 mail-in ballots. From what I’ve been told, sounds like they now have a credible process in place to do a signature audit. Look forward to hearing the results!” Graham said in a tweet.
The Trump campaign has alleged several irregularities in Georgia.
Last week Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and the University of Georgia announced a partnership to verify signatures on mail-in ballots.
“The partnership will help instill confidence in Georgia’s absentee ballot system in future elections,” Raffensperger’s office said in the press release.
In certifying the vote Gov. Brian Kemp questioned the signature verification process.
