Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp went on The Hugh Hewitt Show on Tuesday and spoke about election reform. He said that he’s being handed election integrity bills but he’s not sure yet if he’ll sign any of them.
Kemp said that his plate is full right now and he’s checking out more than 100 bills that were handed to him by House and Senate members. He has yet to sign any election integrity bills but he supports the use of photo identification to verify the identity of a voter before that individual is allowed to cast a ballot.
Kemp reassured his constituents that he supports any agenda that aims to ensure that elections are fair and accurate. He added that he always has an answer to people who are complaining about the election process. He says, “We need to make it easy to vote and hard to cheat.”
He said that he will have to study each bill carefully because several proposals are being brought to him regularly and some of those bills contradict other bills, which makes it difficult to decide which one to support.
