A tweet by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is receiving pushback from Conservative party members, claiming her response to a video of Christians singing praise songs during a commercial flight on the eve of Easter Sunday was "anti-Christian."

Omar shared the video in her tweet asking what would happen if she performed a comparable act on her next flight as a practicing Muslim.

"I think my family and I should have a prayer session next time I am on a plane," Omar said in the tweet. "How do you think it will end?"

The video, posted on TikTok by user Jack Jensz Jr., went viral over Easter weekend. It shows several passengers on a flight singing a Christian worship song.

Omar's tweet has since been met with significant criticism by Republicans, with some claiming that her post contains anti-Christian sentiment, Fox News reported.

"The comment by Ilhan Omar exposes her childish contempt towards Christians and her overall disdain for people of other faiths beyond her own," Col. Mitchell Swan, a Republican candidate for Georgia's 10th Congressional District, told Peach Tree Times. "In the wake of growing demonstrations and violent assaults towards Easter observers globally, her remark is highly offensive."

Vernon Jones, another Republican candidate for Georgia's 10th Congressional District, took to Twitter to respond to Omar's tweet.

"Why do you hate Christians, Ilhan," Vernon said in a tweet. "If the freedom of religion we enjoy here in America disturbs you, feel free to pack your bags and head back to Somalia, Sudan, or wherever you're from."
