Mines alumni use engineering background to restore historic house

Meriwether County Sheriff Chuck is asking for the public’s help with any information related to an armed robbery that occurred at Bubba Doo’s Convenience Store located in Luthersville, Ga. 

“On Tuesday, August 30, 2022, on or between 8 – 8:30 p.m. two unidentified black males, wearing face coverings, one brandishing a long gun and one a handgun committed an armed robbery of Bubba Doo’s Convenience Store, located on Roosevelt Hwy, Luthersville, Ga. The suspects entered the front door of the business at which time they confronted the store clerk and robbed him of an undetermined amount of U.S. Currency. The suspects then fled the location on foot. The suspects are described as:

Black Male, wearing dark in color hooded sweatshirt with “Fortnite” printed in white lettering on front, dark colored pants, dark/black shoes, black gloves, white in color facial covering, slim to medium build, average height, brandishing a long gun.

Black Male, wearing light blue hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants, white & red tennis shoes, blue surgical type gloves, white in color facial covering, medium build, average height, brandishing a small handgun. 

If anyone has any information related to this incident or observed any suspicious person(s)/vehicle(s) during this time span, please call the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 672-4489. Callers may remain anonymous. 

The investigation is ongoing.” Sheriff Chuck Smith said.
