At a campaign stop in Cumming, U.S. Senate candidate Herschel Walker (R-GA) chose not to publicly respond to claims made by a second woman who alleged that he pressured her into having an abortion.

The woman, identified only as “Jane Doe,” said that Walker drove her to an abortion clinic in 1993 and waited outside while she had the procedure; a recent report from FOX 5 Atlanta said. She added that the two had been in a relationship for six years, and Walker paid for the procedure to be performed.

"The reason I am here today is because he has publicly taken the position that he is ‘about life’ and against abortion under any circumstances when, in fact, he pressured me to have an abortion and personally ensured that it occurred by driving me to the clinic and paying for it," the woman told reporters in an audio Zoom call arranged by her lawyer, FOX 5 reported.

During a recent debate in Savannah with Democratic incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA), Walker insisted that his position on the issue of abortion matches the state's so-called "Heartbeat Law," which makes abortion illegal after detection of cardiac activity in an embryo—at approximately six weeks of pregnancy, which is before many women even realize they are pregnant.

The law now on the books in Georgia includes exceptions for pregnancies involving rape, incest or threats to a woman’s life or health; the report said.

During the debate Walker accused a moderator of misstating that he is in favor of "a complete ban on a national level,” emphasizing that his views are in line with the current Heartbeat Law.
